Covid Policy
The Engineering PLUS Alliance is committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for all meeting participants. Our decisions and preventive measures are guided by the requirements and recommendations of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and federal, state, and local health authorities. All participants attending this in-person event must affirm one of the following actions to attend the event:
- They are up to date with all vaccinations, including boosters, or will be prior to the start of the event; or, alternatively,
- Prior to attending the event, they will have a negative COVID test taken within 72 hours of the meeting start date. A negative antigen test taken within 72 hours for those who have tested positive for COVID-19 within the previous 90 days and have completed the CDC-advised five-day isolation and subsequent five-day masking guidance is acceptable.
- Mask wearing is optional, but highly encouraged. While mask wearing is an individual choice, the CDC suggests wearing masks at events: Masking is a critical public health tool, and it is important to remember that any mask is better than no mask.
Once at the Convening, attendees should self-monitor for signs and symptoms of COVID-19. If they experience any such symptoms, they should immediately isolate from other attendees and seek a test for COVID-19. Should an attendee test positive for COVID-19 during or within two days after the Convening, they should contact KF Flynn at [email protected]. The Engineering PLUS Alliance will communicate a confirmed case of COVID-19, without any personal information, to other meeting attendees via email.
